These inclusions generally cannot be viewed with the naked eye.
In addition to color, cut, and clarity, carat weight directly correlates to price of the diamond.

Diamonds of equal weight are not necessarily the same size.

Every piece of jewellery created is unique the specifications vary. In general, jewellery is delicate and it is important that you take the necessary care to enjoy your jewellery for many years to come.
We work only with solid gold (never plated or filled) and sterling silver.
You may clean jewellery purchased from this site with a polishing cloth.
Sterling Silver has the propensiy to tarnish (darken) with everyday use and wear. By gently wiping the surface of the jewellery using the polishing cloth, you are able to remove the tarnish.
Using any polishing cloth or cleaning solutions, including jewellery cleaners is at your own risk, and may cause permanent damage to your jewellery.
The same applies to gemstones.
Over time, gemstones tarnish, and based on the variety of stones offered, there is no way to ascertain whether these gemstones are able to withstand the harsh chemicals or cleanding soluions.
We reiterate that the use of such techniques to clean your gemstones is at the sole risk of the buyer. It is notable that the majority of gemstones are not able to withstand the force of cleaning agents, polishing cloths or ultrasonic cleaners.

A simple tool that may be purchased through qiratjewellery and is readily available is the Ring Sizer or Gauge.
It measures from Size 1 to 13, and includes half sizes. It is important to note that while this is yet another method for the measurement of your finger, the best way to determine size is to visit your local jewellery store.
Once the custom designed ring is created, using the size that was submitted, it may not be possible to resize the ring based on the design. This is generally case with jewellery that utilizes gemstones.

Enhanced color diamonds are done through one or two methods, irradiation or high pressure/high temperature (HPHT)..
Irradiation is used for the Aqua Blue and Teal Blue Diamonds
Irradiated Diamonds
Irradiated enhanced color diamonds, like all diamonds, are known for their non-reactivity, hardness, durability, and resistance to general wear and tear.They do not change over time and require no special attention in daily use.
Care is needed once exposed to high temperatures, usually when the jewellery is being repaired. As such, the stone needs to be protected from direct exposure to high temperatures.
Irradiated enhanced colored diamonds may be set in various ways including channel-set, prong-set, invisible-set, bezel-set, flush-set or used in pavé. A major exception is the wax setting due to the high temperatures involved.
HPHT Diamonds
HPHT enhanced colored diamonds require the least care and are known for their hardness and durability, and are resistant to general wear and tear. They require no special attention in daily use, and can also be subjected to high temperatures. As such, in addition to most settings, HPHT Diamons may also be wax set.

Natural fancy grey diamonds consist of a neutral color whose iterations are quite diverse. Blue is usually the most common overtone found in grey diamonds.
GIA defines the official colour grades as:

Qirat Jewellery prides itself on the quality of products it sells. We would like you to be happy with your purchase, however, you may at times want to return merchandise for an exchange, credit or refund.
Returning an item to Qirat is simple.
All returns must arrive at our office within 30 days from the invoice date. Items arriving after this time will be subjected to a restocking fee. All items must be returned in original condition with all original packaging and materials, including but limited to cloths, pouches, envelopes and boxes. We will not accept returned items that are shipped improperly packaged. Failure to return the original diamond certificate (when applicable) will void your return. All items being returned are to be insured.
Qirat will not be held responsible for any item damaged during shipping or lost in transit.
All returned items will be reviewed for any damage, wear, alteration, engraving, setting or resizing (by a jeweller other than Qirat Fine Jewellery) that occurred after the item was shipped to the customer. If we determine that an item has been altered in any way, the item will not be accepted for return, and will be shipped back to you at your cost.
If an item is accepted for return (or an order is cancelled), Qirat will issue a full refund, exchange, or credit within 10-20 business days. The exchange of an item does not extend the original return policy, which means the replacement item may be returned within 30 days from the original invoice date.
An order may be cancelled within 1 business day of placing the order. After that time, an order cannot be cancelled but may be returned within your 30 day return period for refund, credit, or exchange.
Sale items and custom items such as custom rings, custom jewellery or any other special order cannot be returned or cancelled. Additionally design deposits, custom order fees, customization fees, engraving fees and shipping fees are non-refundable.
If we cancel a sale after checkout, we will refund the fee based the price listed on the check out receipt in the same manner as payment was made. For example, Visa payment will be credited to the same Visa card only.

Irradiated enhanced colored diamonds may be set in various ways including channel-set, prong-set, invisible-set, bezel-set, flush-set or used in pavé. A major exception is the wax setting due to the high temperatures involved.
HPHT Diamonds
HPHT enhanced colored diamonds require the least care and are known for their hardness and durability, and are resistant to general wear and tear. They require no special attention in daily use, and can also be subjected to high temperatures. As such, in addition to most settings, HPHT Diamons may also be wax set.

Qirat Jewellery prides itself on the quality of products it sells. We would like you to be happy with your purchase, however, you may at times want to return merchandise for an exchange, credit or refund.
Returning an item to Qirat is simple.
All returns must arrive at our office within 30 days from the invoice date. Items arriving after this time will be subjected to a restocking fee. All items must be returned in original condition with all original packaging and materials, including but limited to cloths, pouches, envelopes and boxes. We will not accept returned items that are shipped improperly packaged. Failure to return the original diamond certificate (when applicable) will void your return. All items being returned are to be insured.
Qirat will not be held responsible for any item damaged during shipping or lost in transit.
All returned items will be reviewed for any damage, wear, alteration, engraving, setting or resizing (by a jeweller other than Qirat Fine Jewellery) that occurred after the item was shipped to the customer. If we determine that an item has been altered in any way, the item will not be accepted for return, and will be shipped back to you at your cost.
If an item is accepted for return (or an order is cancelled), Qirat will issue a full refund, exchange, or credit within 10-20 business days. The exchange of an item does not extend the original return policy, which means the replacement item may be returned within 30 days from the original invoice date.
An order may be cancelled within 1 business day of placing the order. After that time, an order cannot be cancelled but may be returned within your 30 day return period for refund, credit, or exchange.
Sale items and custom items such as custom rings, custom jewellery or any other special order cannot be returned or cancelled. Additionally design deposits, custom order fees, customization fees, engraving fees and shipping fees are non-refundable.
If we cancel a sale after checkout, we will refund the fee based the price listed on the check out receipt in the same manner as payment was made. For example, Visa payment will be credited to the same Visa card only.

Diamonds are evaluated based on the quantity, size, relief, nature, position of these characteristics, and how they affect the appearance of the diamond. The fewer incusions or blemishes, the rarer the diamond, and the higher the value.

Every piece of jewellery created is unique the specifications vary. In general, jewellery is delicate and it is important that you take the necessary care to enjoy your jewellery for many years to come.
We work only with solid gold (never plated or filled) and sterling silver.
You may clean jewellery purchased from this site with a polishing cloth.
Sterling Silver has the propensiy to tarnish (darken) with everyday use and wear. By gently wiping the surface of the jewellery using the polishing cloth, you are able to remove the tarnish.
Using any polishing cloth or cleaning solutions, including jewellery cleaners is at your own risk, and may cause permanent damage to your jewellery.
The same applies to gemstones.
Over time, gemstones tarnish, and based on the variety of stones offered, there is no way to ascertain whether these gemstones are able to withstand the harsh chemicals or cleanding soluions.

Irradiated enhanced colored diamonds may be set in various ways including channel-set, prong-set, invisible-set, bezel-set, flush-set or used in pavé. A major exception is the wax setting due to the high temperatures involved.
HPHT Diamonds
HPHT enhanced colored diamonds require the least care and are known for their hardness and durability, and are resistant to general wear and tear. They require no special attention in daily use, and can also be subjected to high temperatures. As such, in addition to most settings, HPHT Diamons may also be wax set.

Every completed order is shipped with a box.
Natural fancy grey diamonds consist of a neutral color whose iterations are quite diverse. Blue is usually the most common overtone found in grey diamonds.
GIA defines the official colour grades as:
light grey, fancy light grey, fancy grey, fancy dark grey, and fancy deep grey.
Natural Grey diamonds are formed with the inclusion of foreign elements during its formation, particularly hydrogen. It is notable that both Grey and Blue diamonds are semiconductors of electricity compared with colourless diamonds which are non-conductors.
For every 10,000 diamonds mined, you will find one Blue Diamond.
It is formed when Boron bonds with Carbon, which causes the absorption of red, green and yellow light, trapping blue light, thus giving it the colour.
The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement for all purposes.

Round-Shaped Stones Measured across the widest point.
Square-Shaped Stones Measured vertically from the top to the bottom and horizontally from side to side (Includes Antique, Princess-cut and Square, Step-cut shapes).
Rectangle-Shaped Stones Measured vertically from the top to the bottom, and across the widest part (Includes Octagon, Cushion, and Antique Cushion shapes).
Pear-Shaped Stones Measured vertically from the top to the point, and across the widest part.
Triangle/trillion-Shaped Stones Measured vertically from the base to the point.

Qirat Jewellery prides itself on the quality of products it sells. We would like you to be happy with your purchase, however, you may at times want to return merchandise for an exchange, credit or refund.
Returning an item to Qirat is simple.
All returns must arrive at our office within 30 days from the invoice date. Items arriving after this time will be subjected to a restocking fee. All items must be returned in original condition with all original packaging and materials, including but limited to cloths, pouches, envelopes and boxes. We will not accept returned items that are shipped improperly packaged. Failure to return the original diamond certificate (when applicable) will void your return. All items being returned are to be insured.
Qirat will not be held responsible for any item damaged during shipping or lost in transit.
All returned items will be reviewed for any damage, wear, alteration, engraving, setting or resizing (by a jeweller other than Qirat Fine Jewellery) that occurred after the item was shipped to the customer. If we determine that an item has been altered in any way, the item will not be accepted for return, and will be shipped back to you at your cost.
If an item is accepted for return (or an order is cancelled), Qirat will issue a full refund, exchange, or credit within 10-20 business days. The exchange of an item does not extend the original return policy, which means the replacement item may be returned within 30 days from the original invoice date.
An order may be cancelled within 1 business day of placing the order. After that time, an order cannot be cancelled but may be returned within your 30 day return period for refund, credit, or exchange.
Sale items and custom items such as custom rings, custom jewellery or any other special order cannot be returned or cancelled. Additionally design deposits, custom order fees, customization fees, engraving fees and shipping fees are non-refundable.
If we cancel a sale after checkout, we will refund the fee based the price listed on the check out receipt in the same manner as payment was made. For example, Visa payment will be credited to the same Visa card only.
In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made.
Over the years, we have grown and culled our network of reputable sources for diamonds and gemstones which enables us to offer an assortment of stones with varying specifications.

Even with this, it is still impossible to have access to every single gemstone immediately, or at any point in time.
Loose Diamonds or Gemstones are non-returnable and non-refundable.
